Predators examines the legacy of To Catch a Predator, the NBC series that from 2004-2007 staged sting operations aimed at potential child predators. The film looks at how the show shaped public perceptions of online safety, ethics in journalism and law enforcement, and spawned imitators and offshoots in later true crime programming.

At this time, no information has been announced about when the new true crime documentary Predators will be available to stream or released on other platforms beyond its theatrical debut.
