April is here, and so is a fresh week of true crime. The Weekly Drop is your guide to every new true crime show and documentary airing March 30-April 5, 2026. Ongoing series, one-offs, and everything in between. Netflix, Hulu, and Lifetime have new releases in the mix this week too, and those are in the listings below.

Fatal Attraction


Fatal Attraction S16E34 (“The Weight of Greed”) airs Monday at 9 p.m. ET on TV One. Episodes are also available to stream on Philo.


Fatal Attraction continues its long-running focus on real-life crimes driven by obsessive relationships, jealousy, infidelity, and possessiveness. Each standalone episode follows investigators as they piece together evidence and uncover hidden dynamics in victims’ personal lives, examining how relationships rooted in control or fixation escalate into violence. Season sixteen features cases involving affairs, custody disputes, and power imbalances, highlighting how emotional intensity can turn deadly.

Fatal Attraction: I’d Kill to Be You


Fatal Attraction: I’d Kill to Be You S1E10 ("Deadly Imitation”) airs Monday at 10 p.m. ET on TV One.


This new entry in the Fatal Attraction franchise shifts the focus to cases driven by jealousy, envy, and obsession with another person’s life. Through dramatized reenactments, expert commentary, and real-life interviews, the series examines how admiration can harden into resentment, leading individuals to target someone’s identity, relationships, or perceived happiness. Episodes explore how fixation and social comparison escalate into criminal behavior, with cases involving betrayal, identity theft, and violence.

People Magazine Investigates


People Magazine Investigates S9E11 (“Deadly Ride”) airs Monday at 9 p.m. ET on Investigation Discovery.


People Magazine Investigates returns for its ninth season, continuing its focus on headline-making crimes from across the United States. Drawing on reporting from PEOPLE’s true crime team, the series revisits both recent cases and long-running cold cases, examining how investigations unfolded and how lives were permanently altered. The new season explores high-profile murders and complex cases involving hidden relationships, long-buried evidence, and unexpected developments.

Evil Lives Here: My Child the Killer


Evil Lives Here: My Child the Killer series premiere S1E1 (“Drive to Kill”) airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on Investigation Discovery, with streaming availability on Max.


This spinoff of Evil Lives Here centers on parents confronting the reality that their child committed violent crimes. Through first-person interviews, the series focuses on the emotional aftermath, including shock, guilt, and grief, as families process how their understanding of their child changed. Each episode presents a parent’s account, examining the personal and lasting impact of these crimes on both families and their communities.

FBI True returns for its eighth season, continuing its docuseries format in which current and former FBI agents recount major cases through firsthand interviews. Dear Killer Nannies


Dear Killer Nannies is a scripted dramatization premiering April 1 on Hulu, with streaming availability on Disney+. The series follows Juan Pablo Escobar, known as “Juampi,” as he recounts his childhood inside the Medellín Cartel, where protection and violence existed side by side.


Raised in extreme wealth under constant security, his perception of safety begins to shift as he realizes the armed figures around him were not caretakers, but hired enforcers. The series traces his perspective as the son of Pablo Escobar, examining how loyalty, fear, and identity are shaped within a powerful criminal organization. Episode count is TBA.

FEDS


FEDS S2E5 ("Gangbuster") airs Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET on Investigation Discovery, with streaming availability on Max.


Season 2 of FEDS continues the series’ behind-the-scenes look at FBI investigations through interviews with active-duty agents, informants, undercover operatives, and victims. The new season revisits complex federal cases, including a 2015 bombing investigation spanning New York and New Jersey, along with additional large-scale criminal operations. The series documents how cases developed, the coordination between agencies, and the decision-making involved in high-risk investigations.

Hunt for the Missing: Chicago S1E5 ("The House of Revere Road") airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on Investigation Discovery, with streaming availability on Max.


This brand-new series follows retired Chicago detective Pamela Childs as she revisits long-standing missing persons cases across the city. The season focuses on unresolved disappearances that have remained cold for years, tracing the original investigations, examining what stalled progress, and documenting renewed efforts to pursue new leads while engaging with families still seeking answers.

April 2nd, 2026

The First 48 S29E14 (A House Divided) will air Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on A&E with next day streaming on the A&E app.


The First 48 is a long-running documentary series that follows homicide detectives during the critical first two days after a murder, when time-sensitive evidence, witness cooperation, and investigative momentum matter most. Through real-time casework, forensic analysis, and interrogations, the series documents how quickly leads can emerge or disappear as investigators work to prevent cases from going cold.

Predator Hunters


Predator Hunters S1E5 ("Catfishing the Catfisher") airs Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on A&E, with next-day streaming availability on the A&E app and website.


This investigative series follows Detective Tony Godwin and the North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force as they pursue online child exploitation cases. The season documents real operations from the review of digital evidence through undercover exchanges and coordinated arrests, incorporating access to case files, body camera footage, and police interviews as investigators work to identify and apprehend individuals accused of targeting minors online.

A new episode of Dateline NBC S34E19 ("Temptation"), airs Friday at 9 p.m. ET on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.


This special two-hour Dateline examines the high-profile Virginia double murder case involving Brendan Banfield, featuring never-before-seen police interview footage from the family’s au pair, Juliana Peres Magalhaes. The Truth and Tragedy of Moriah Wilson


The Truth and Tragedy of Moriah Wilson is a feature-length documentary premiering Friday on Netflix. Court TV This Week


Court TV is scheduled to continue coverage of the HI v. Gerhardt Konig (“Trouble in Paradise”) trial this week, entering week two.


Gerhardt Konig, a Hawaii anesthesiologist, is on trial for second-degree attempted murder following an alleged assault on his wife, Arielle Konig, at the Pali Lookout hiking trail on March 24, 2025. Arielle Konig told officers that during the couple's hike, Gerhardt Konig pushed her into bushes, struck her in the head approximately ten times with a rock, and attempted to inject her with syringes he retrieved from his bag. Two witnesses reported seeing the alleged attack after hearing screams. Konig was suspended from his position at Maui Health following his arrest. Arielle Konig has since filed for divorce and obtained a restraining order against him.

For some reason, IMDb & Rotten Tomatoes has Buried in the Backyard both show 16 episodes, however, I confirmed with Oxygen—there are only 15 episodes in Season 6. Last week, March 28, 2026 was the finale.

And now I have to ask… what’s your secret for confirming with Oxygen? Because that’s next-level investigation and I’m taking notes.
