Lifetime Expands Survivor Stories with The Girl Who Survived: The Alina Thompson Story

The Girl Who Survived: The Alina Thompson Story is one of several new true crime movie dramatizations 2025 has seen from Lifetime this September. Earlier this month came A Husband to Die For: The Lisa Aguilar Story, and after Alina’s story, Lifetime will follow with Was a Child Bride: The Courtney Stodden Story. The network is clearly leaning into survivor-focused dramatizations this season.
