We Are Jeni
We Are Jeni premieres Thursday, May 7 at 9 p.m. ET on Investigation Discovery, with streaming available on Max. The feature-length documentary centers on Dr. Jeni Haynes, an Australian woman who developed Dissociative Identity Disorder with more than 2,500 distinct alternate personalities following decades of severe childhood abuse. In 2019, an Australian court broke new legal ground when it allowed several of those personalities to testify directly, treating their accounts as credible evidence in the prosecution of her father.
The film follows the full arc of Dr. Haynes's case, from the abuse that shaped her psychological reality to the legal proceedings that tested whether that reality could be recognized in a courtroom. Investigators and psychiatric professionals who worked alongside her, including Detective Rod Messa and Dr. George Blair-West, contribute to the account. Illustrated sequences give visual form to her internal world, among them Symphony, her first documented alter, offering a way into an experience that conventional documentary approaches alone could not capture.
The trailer is available in the May Surveillance Report.

Legends
Legends is a six-part dramatization arriving on Netflix on Thursday, based on a real operation conducted by Her Majesty's Customs and Excise in the early 1990s. The series draws directly from extensive research and interviews with the people who lived it, translating firsthand accounts into a dramatic narrative that stays close to the source material.
The operation itself recruited ordinary civilian employees, rather than trained intelligence officers, to infiltrate British drug trafficking networks under entirely fabricated identities. Those identities, known as legends, allowed the operatives to embed themselves inside criminal organizations, though the psychological cost of living as someone else, at length and under pressure, proved to be its own kind of damage. All six episodes are available May 7 on Netflix.
The trailer is available in the May Surveillance Report.

IMPACT x Nightline
