The Surveillance Report: New True Crime Documentary Releases – December 2025 Edition

Updated: 59 minutes ago

Silhouette of a man in a hat next to a vintage TV displaying "The Crime Scene Society: The Surveillance Report" with red splatters. Text reads "December 2025 True Crime: Your Guide to New Docs." Dark, mysterious mood.

December arrives with cold nights, warm lights, and a noticeably thinner lineup. Networks lean into holiday programming this month, leaving the crime beat quieter than usual, but not silent. What does surface carries a different kind of tension: the slow-burn mysteries, year-end premieres, and odd one-offs that slip in just before the calendar turns. This serves as your final monthly briefing of the year, a tidy dossier of what’s new, what’s worth noting, and what’s landing on your watchlist before the clock runs out. Don’t forget to cast your vote at the bottom of the page for the program or documentary you’re most excited to stream.

Disclaimer: I have not viewed any of the documentaries listed in this post.
