Welcome back, couch detectives. Another week means another wave of true crime shows and documentaries landing faster than anyone can realistically keep up with, and this stretch of November true crime releases is no exception. New episodes, premieres and one-off specials are dropping across every major platform, and sorting through them all can feel like running your own investigation.


This week’s roundup pulls together every new documentary, episode premiere, and ongoing series update in one place, giving you a clear snapshot of all the new true crime releases in 2025 on Netflix, Hulu, Max, ID, Peacock, Paramount+, A&E, Oxygen and more.

Live PD: Greatest Shifts


Live PD: Greatest Shifts Season 1 returns Monday, November 24, 2025 with two back-to-back new episodes (Episode 20 and Episode 21) airing on A&E starting at 9 p.m. ET, followed by the second episode at 10 p.m. ET. A&E lists “Stream Next Day” availability on its site and app for on-demand viewing.

The Rocky Mountain Mortician Murder


The Rocky Mountain Mortician Murder debuts Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 8 p.m. ET on Investigation Discovery, with all three parts airing back-to-back as a single three-hour event. The full docuseries will also be available to stream on Max.


The three-part docuseries uncovers the 2012 murder of community pillar Byron Griffy in rural Colorado, revealing a complex web of betrayal, con-artists and cover-ups that shook the small town to its core.

Hollywood Demons continues on Thursday, November 27, 2025, with four back-to-back Season 1 episodes airing on Investigation Discovery:

  • Episode 7 “Child Stars Gone Violent – Part 1” at 12 p.m. ET

  • Episode 8 “Child Stars Gone Violent – Part 2” at 1 p.m. ET

  • Episode 9 “Housewives Gone Bad – Part 1” at 2 p.m. ET

  • Episode 10 “Housewives Gone Bad – Part 2” at 3 p.m. ET


All four episodes are marked as new in the official TV listings, though the series was originally promoted as a six-part documentary back in March of this year, so viewers should be aware these may be newly released installments or expanded recut episodes.

The show examines the darker side of Hollywood fame, exposing shocking crimes and hidden scandals involving actors, public figures and those drawn into their orbit.
